RRPP 2014-2016 – new phase

On Thursday 10^th July, at the premises of the Institute of Economic Sciences, it was held kick-off meeting and presentation of the regional research projects approved for funding in the phase of the Regional Research Promotion Programme in the Western Balkans (RRPP).

In the new RRPP phase (2014-2016), RRPP Steering Committee selected 8 regional projects to be led by the Serbian institutions as main partner. Total value of the selected projects is almost 1 million Swiss francs. Projects selected for funding are the following:

• Figuring Out the Enemy: Re-imagining Serbian-Albanian Relations,
  Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade
• Are regulatory agencies in Serbia and Macedonia transparent and accountable?
  Belgrade Institute for Public Policy,
• Impact of fiscal decentralisation on local economic development in Serbia and Montenegro,
  European Research Academy Belgrade (EURAK)
• Performance Audit and Policy Evaluation: On the Same or Parallel Tracks?,
  European Policy Centre (CEP)
• Gender that matters: Poverty and Social Inclusion - Social Protection Status in Rural Kosovo and Serbia,
  Center for Ethics, Law and Applied Philosophy
• Representation of Gender Minority Groups in Media: Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia,
  Faculty of Media and Communications, Singidunum University
• From inclusive Identities to Inclusive Societies: Exploring Complex Social Identity in Western Balkans,
  Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade
• Informal Practices of Capturing Economic Resources by Political Elites: Exploring Party Patronage in Kosovo and Serbia,
  SeConS Development Initiative Group

RRPP program is led by the Institute for Central and Eastern Europe (IICEE) at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and the Local Coordination Unit for Serbia is Institute of Economic Sciences. The programme is fully funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
