International scientific conference “Sustainable Economy and the Environment”

On 23rd of April 2014, International Scientific Conference “Sustainable Economy and the Environment” is held at the Institute of Economic Sciences, funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. The conference was opened by Stana Božović, State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, Development and the Environment of the Republic of Serbia. In the introductory part, the opening speech was given by prof. Larisa Jovanović, President of Ecologica, prof. Dejan Erić, Director of the IES, prof. Radoje Zečević, representative of Ministry of Energy, Development and the Environment of the Republic of Serbia, and Petar Rajačić, President of Serbian Academy of Innovative Sciences. On that occasion, the President of Ecologica gave an award to Institute of Economic sciences as a sign of good cooperation.

The introductory part was followed by several sessions on which were presented papers on climate changes, ecological problems, green economy etc. The conference was attended by more than 70 participants, environment protection experts, economists, engineers, meteorologists and researchers from many other areas.
