The round table “Corporate Governance in Serbia”

On 10 December 2013, the Association of Financial Analysts of Serbia – UFAS (founded by the IES and BBA), in cooperation with International financial cooperation – IFC, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO and Oesterreichische Entwicklungsbank AG, organized the round table "Corporate Governance in Serbia” at the Institute. Beside the AFAS members, the meeting was attended by a number of representatives of financial institutions and companies in Serbia. Professor Dejan Eric, PhD, IES Director and Mr Vladimir Pavlovic, President of AFAS Managing Board opened the meeting.

Mr Oliver Orton, Regional Project Manager for Corporate Governance in Europe and Central Asia, IFC-International Finance Corporation and Ms Merima Zupcevic, Head of Project for Corporate Governance, IFC-International Finance Corporation presented the methodologies and former experiences of IFC in evaluation and implementation of corporate governance in the enterprises in Serbia and the region.

The presentation was followed by a number of participants’ questions.
