Working visit to SND, University of Gothenborg, Sweden

IES researchers dr Aleksandra Bradić-Martinović, ma Aleksandar Zdravković with Prof. Mirjana Rasevic, PhD, director of the Institute for Social Sciences, and Marija Veličković, analyst for social sciences in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia, paid a working visit to SND, University of Gothenborg, Sweden on 11 and 12 November, 2013, within the realization of the FP7 project SERSCIDA.

After the welcome note, Hans Jørgen Marker, director of Swedish National Data Service, Iris Alfredsson, Assistant Director and Ilze Lace, Data manager spoke about History of data archives in Sweden SND history, governance, structure and funding. Anders Brandström, Chairman of Swedish National Data Service Board presented Vision and future development of SND. Lennart Weibull, Former Vice Cancelor at the University of Gothenborg gave an in insight in The Research infrastructure in Sweden and the role of SND. Cooperation between NSI and data archives: what possibilities are out there? The case of DwB (Data without Boundaries) project was presented by Claus-Göran Hjelm, Swedish Statistical Bureau. At the end Mr Hans Jørgen shed a light on International cooperation: CESSDA, DDI Alliance and other.
