Aleksandar Zdravković’s presentation at the IMF

On Thursday, August 29, 2013, IES researcher Aleksandar Zdravković with IMF economists Dmitriy Kovtun and Matthew Gaertner presented preliminary results of the project “Is Balance Sheet Stress, a Drag on Growth in Emerging Europe” to colleagues from the European Department (EUR) of the IMF in Washington, DC. Aleksandar worked on this project as a summer intern at the EURSE (Serbia, Montenegro, Albania) unit, with the direct support of Dmitriy and Matthew as project supervisors, as well as advisory support of EURSE management Zuzana Murgasova and Nadeem Ilahi.

Results have attracted a lot of attention and initiated a fruitful discussion. Their publication in a working paper is expected by the end of this year.
