Round table "Prospects for the establishment of a national social science digital archive in Serbia" was held

On Thursday, 24th of January 2013 Round table „Prospects for the establishment of a national social science digital archive in Serbia” was held at the Institute of Economic Sciences. The round table is a part of the FP7 – SERSCIDA project.

After Opening word, Aleksandra Bradić-Martinović gave the brief Presentation of FP7 – SERSCIDA project. Ivana Domazet, Ph.D. then presented the report “Analysis of existing potentials for the establishment of a social sciences digitalized data service in Serbia,” and Aleksandar Zdravković, MA, gave the illustration of practical work with digital data service an example of ADP Ljubljana, Slovenia. Jelena Marković, from the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit, Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, gave a speech about creating policies based on data.

At the second session, participants discussed three main issues: possibilities for financing digital data service in social sciences, potential hosting institution, organization of digital data service in social sciences, and inclusion of the scientific community – data providers and users.
