The Association of Southeast Europe Economic Institute has been established

On Monday, 4th 2012, in the Economic Institute Skopje, directors of institutes signed a Charter establishing the Association of Southeast Europe Economic Institute - SEEA. The Association consists of:

  • Economic Institute, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Economic Institute, Skopje, Macedonia
  • Institute of Economics, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • The Institute of Economics, Zagreb, Croatia
  • The Institute for Economic Research, Ljubljana, Slovenia
  • Institute of Economic Sciences, Beograd, Serbia

SEEA has been established with the aim to: promote economic researches in Southeastern Europe,  foster networking, and regional cooperation among the members' institutes, developing joint research programmes, organize joint scientific conferences, round tables, and meetings on the national, regional, and international level, provide publishing papers in the quality, easy accessible widely recognized publication, increase member institutes competitiveness and capabilities through a joint appearance on the various calls for national, regional and international projects, exchange the know-how of the member institutes across border, promote the mobility of the researchers, as well as other resources among the member institutes, etc.

The first chairperson is Biljana Angelova, Ph.D., director of the Economic Institute Skopje.

The signing was attended by representatives of the IES, Ivan Stošić, Ph.D., Aleksandra Martinovic Bradić, Ph.D., and Mladenka Balaban, Ph.D.
