Institute of Economic Sciences, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Petar Đukić, organized a roundtable on the Sustainable Development of Serbia in the Crisis - Solutions and Obstacles, on 7th March 2012. Prof. Dr. Dejan Erić, director of IES, and Prof. Dr. Ivica Radović, State Secretary at the Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning, made the opening speech.
The aim of this meeting was primarily to point out the objective conditions and opportunities for sustainable management of the current crisis in order to overcome it with minimal consequences for sustainable socio-economic, technological, and environmental development and to indicate the coordinates of the strategic, practical measures and activities necessary to continue the evolution of society towards sustainable development.
Many eminent Serbian researchers engaged in research of sustainable development attended the meeting. Some of the most noticeable lectures were performed by Prof. Dr. Petar Đukić, Prof. Dr. Ivica Radović, Prof. Dr. Milorad Filipović, Prof. Dr. Olja Munitlak-Ivanović, Prof. Dr. Dijana Marković Bajalović, Dr. Miodrag Vujošević, Dr. Slaviša Đukanović, and Dr. Božo Drašković.
