Western Balkan accession to the EU: A new strategy or a new postponement?

On June 14, in the premises of the Institute of Economic Sciences, it was organized international scientific conference entitled Western Balkan accession to the EU: A new strategy or a new postponement? Conference was jointly organised by the University of Canterbury and the National Centre for Research on Europe, New Zealand and the Institute of Economic Sciences and the Belgrade Banking Academy as local partnering institutions. The main objective of the conference was to present research results and provide opportunities for discussion about the EU accession perspectives in the region and ways to resolve current political and economic disputes. Conference gathered around 20 participants from the Western Balkan region, UK and New Zealand, experts in the field of EU integration, economic policy and foreign relations from both research sector and academia.
