The Annual General Meeting and Conference of the International Capital Market Association - ICMA was held in Paris from 25-27 May.
The issue of this conference was raising global standards in the area of operations with securities in the international capital markets.
At the invitation of Prof. Dr. John Board, Dean ICMA Centre Henley Business School, the representatives of the Institute and the Belgrade Banking Academy (BBA) - Prof. Dr. Dejan Erić and Dr. Musabegović participated at the annual meeting. On the first day of the meeting, they discussed issues related to the need for coordination in dealing with the regulation of securities in the international arena and the future of capital markets in Europe and worldwide.
The IES/BBA delegation had several bilateral meetings and contacts with members of ICMA, and they discussed possibilities of cooperation and development.
On the second day of the conference, the participants discussed the issues of transparency and market liquidity, asset management, and future upgrading of institutional infrastructure for the creation of safer and more efficient capital markets. The IES/BBA delegation had several meetings with ICMA leaders.
