The Conference was opened by the Programme Director Mr. Nicolas Hayoz, and welcome speeches by Ms. Sanja Vlahović, Minister of Science of Montenegro and Mr. Ralph Friedlander, manager of the regional programs in the field of culture and research in the Western Balkans, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

During the conference, Mr. Jovan Zubović presented the results of the research titled \"Macroeconomic analysis and empirical evaluation of active labour market policies in Serbia\", funded within the RRPP.

Beside the large number of researchers from Western Balkan countries, engaged in the implementation of research projects fundedwithin the RRPP, the conference brought together a significant number of researchers from European universities such as London School of Economics and Politics, University of Edinburgh, Queen Mary, University of London, School of Politics and International Relations, University of Sheffield, University of Graz, University of Exeter.

The third Annual conference of the RRPP

The third Annual conference of the "Regional Research Promotion Programme in the Western Balkans" (RRPP) entitled "Social, political and economic change in the Western Balkans" was held on 25 and 26 May 2011, in the Hotel "Mistral", in Pržno (Montenegro). Institute of Economic Sciences as a local coordination unit of the Programme (RRPP LCU) is the event organizer.
