At the end of October 2009, the site of the European Commission (Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture - EACEA) published the results of the TEMPUS project selection. Among the 69 projects approved for funding by the European Commission was  the project: \"MASTER D\'ÉTUDES EUROPÉENNES À DOUBLE DIPLOMATION EN SERBIE\"in which the Institute of Economic Sciences in Belgrade participates as a partner of Grant applicant of University in Nice-Sophia Antipolis, IES longtime partner.

On 10 March 2010 in Nice during the preparation for the beginning of the realization of TEMPUS project, the IES officials - Professor. Dr. Dejan Erić, Director  and Dr. Srdjan Redžepagić, Chief Executive Officer met with the leadership of the Institute for Enterprise  Management, University of Nice (Institut d\' Administration des Enterprises - ÍáÈ). In conversation with the Prof. Dr. Jacques Spindler, IAE Director and Professor Dr. David Huron, Director of the master program in the field of public management they agreed the directions of joint activities within the Tempus project, and discussed about the opportunities for expanding mutual cooperation.

The first meeting of representatives of all participants of TEMPUS project No. 158885-TEMPUS-1-2009-FR-TEMPUS-JRCR was held on 11 March. The host representatives of University in Nice - Sophia Antipolis welcomed the guests and introduced them with the most important project elements, expected results and available budget.

Beside the host representatives, the meeting was attended by representatives of the University of Coimbra, Portugal and the University of Freiberg, Germany on the European side, and the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Economics, University of Nis, Faculty of European Legal and Political Studies, Singidunum University and the Institute of Economic Sciences, as a partners from the Serbian side.

Srdjan Redžepagić, PhD, IES Chief Executive Officer was appointed project coordinator from Serbian side.

On the second day of introductory meeting of the representatives of Tempus project participants, the issues related to the design master program in the field of European studies, as well as the role of each partner were discussed. The priorities of the project and other important issues related to coordination and cooperation of all participants in the project were defined.

The result of the meeting was an agreement on the next steps in the project realization. The new meeting for all participants is scheduled for the second half of October in Serbia - Belgrade and Novi Sad.

TEMPUS project started officially

By series of meetings of representatives of all partners - the participants of Tempus project no. 15885-TEMPUS-1-2009-1-FR-TEMPUS-JPCP titled "MASTER D'ÉTUDES EUROPÉENNES À DOUBLE DIPLOMATION EN SERBIE", held on 11 and 12 March 2010 in Nice, France, the implementation of the project in which the Institute of Economic Sciences has a significant share started officially.
