The Promotion of the book "Structural Changes and Performances of Banking in Serbia 2002-2008" by Prof. dr. Vlastimir Vuković, IES associate was held on 23 December 2009. Prof. dr Dejan Erić, IES Director, dr Gradimir Kožetinac, BBA Professor of Monetary Economics & Banking, dr Dušan Kostić, IES associate, and the author himself spoke about the book to a large number of guests, BBA professors, and IES researchers.

Prof. dr Dejan Erić, IES Director talked about the scientific and research results of IES in 2009, pointing out the significant improvement. Besides three international conferences and two books, published abroad, IES had very rich publishing activities, including the book of Professor Vuković.

Professor Kožetinac spoke about the importance of books in light of changes in the monetary and banking sphere. Dr. Kostić gave a brief review of the book's structure and pointed out a very rich empirical material, the book is based on.

Professor Vuković said that he had been gathering material for the book for several years and that the book itself should say more than the author did. He emphasized some delusions that existed in professional circles, on which he tried to offer arguments based on empirical research.
