The Association of Financial Analysts of Serbia - AFAS held its constitutive assembly

In the IES and BBA hall A1 the Founding Assembly of the Serbian Association of financial analysts (UFAS) held the meeting. The Assembly was opened by the initiator - Prof. dr Dejan  Erić, who welcomed all guests and  pointed out the basic idea and goals of forming associations, and suggested the following agenda, which was unanimously adopted:

1.  Election of the Founding Chairman of the Assembly and recorder
2.  Adoption of Act on the Establishment of the Association
3.  Presentation of the Statute proposal, the discussion on the proposal, and adoption of the Statute of the Association
4.  Election of Board of Directors members
5.  Election  of the Supervisory Board members
6. Election of the President and Vice President of the Board of Directors
7. Selection of the Association’s logo
8. Miscellaneous.

Professor Eric was unanimously elected the President of the Assembly whereas Aleksandar Zdravkovic, IES Research Assistant was the recorder. Upon the adoption of the Act on Establishment and Statute, the candidates presented themselves and then they elected the Board of Directors members. They are:

1. Nataša Marjanović, Chairman of the Board
2. Siniša Krneta, Vice President
3. Vladimir Pavlović
4. Vladimir Drašković and
5. Ivana Pavlović.

The members of the Supervisory Board are:

1. Dr. Mališa Djukić
2. Dr. Tanja Jovanić and
3. Zoran Drobnjak.

The Act on Establishment of Association was signed by 35 individuals and 2 institutions. The Institute of Economic Sciences and Belgrade Banking Academy, as institutional members and hosts of the Association, gave full support to the Association’s activities.

The Founding of AFAS drew the attention of regional financial analyst societies, especially of the Austrian society OVFA, which will publish an article about AFAS in the March newsletter. OVFA newsletter already published in December an article about the visit of EFFAS (the European Federation of financial analysts societies) chairmans, Mr. Giampaolo Trasi and Mr. Friedrich Mostböck, before AFAS founding.
