Bank Insurance - New Opportunities for Financial Sector Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska

The seminar "Bank Insurance - New Opportunities for Financial Sector Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska" was held in Spa Vrućica near Teslić. The Association of Serbian Economists - SWOT and the Institute of Economic Sciences organized the seminar.

The participants were representatives of banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska. On the first day of the seminar, attendees were addressed by representatives of regulatory bodies and associations - Mrs. Božana Šljivar, Director RS Insurance Agency, MA Snježana Rudić, Deputy Minister of Finance, Mijo Mišić, Executive Secretary of the Bank of B&H and Dr. Miroslav Miškić, President of Association of insurance society in CCRS.

The IES representatives had significant participation in the seminar. On the second day of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Dejan Erić held an introductory lecture on "The Importance of Mergers and Acquisitions (M & A) in the Financial Sector." Dr. Mladenka Balaban, IES Researcher, gave a remarkable lecture on banking, insurance, and new product development. Dr. Periša Ivanović, BBA Professor, spoke on risk management in banks.

The representatives of some financial institutions also spoke at the seminar. The presentation of Mr. Antonio Marchitelli, Director of the first Axa company in Serbia, was particularly notable. The IES representatives had meetings with seminar participants and discussed the possibilities for further cooperation.
