The impact of climate change on the environment and the economy
On the 22nd of April 2013, the International Scientific Conference The Impact of Climate Change on the Environment and the Economy was held at the Institute of Economic Sciences, Belgrade, funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development. Prof. Larisa Jovanović, President of Ecologica оpened the Conference. In the introductory part, the opening speech was given by prof. Dejan Erić, Director of the IES, prof. Radoje Zečević, Rector of the Alpha University, prof. Časlav Lačnjevac, President of SITS and President of Serbian Academy of Innovative Sciences, Mr. Petar Baron Rajačić.
The introductory part was followed by several sessions, which presented papers on climate changes, ecological problems, green economy, etc. The meeting was attended by more than 60 participants, environment protection experts, economists, engineers, meteorologists, and researchers from many other areas.
