Special research program COVID-19: IES researchers awarded with a grant

Researchers of the Institute of Economic Sciences, Marko Vladisavljević, Lara Lebedinski, Jelena Banović and Valentina Vukmirović, were awarded a research grant by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, within the Special research program COVID-19. The project entitled: Social Stability in Serbia Challenged? Pandemics, Economic losses, Inequality and Policy Responses, will be realized in collaboration with Professor Cristiano Perugini of the University of Perugia, over a period of 15 research months. The project aims to identify the population segments that have suffered the greatest economic losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, analyze the impact of the pandemic on the labor market, and provide a cost-benefit analysis of existing national programs to mitigate the economic consequences of the pandemic. Also, the project will suggest further measures to mitigate the economic consequences of the pandemic, and will offer proposals for responding to future economic shocks of a similar type.
