IAB members will drive the IES to:

  • A better understanding of international best practices regarding all aspects of IES operations;
  • Better understand the IES’s competitive position among relevant domestic, European, and international research institutes and research infrastructures;
  • Develop investment strategies (infrastructure, capabilities, technology transfer, networking, etc.) to improve their domestic, European, and international competitive position in areas of strategic importance;
  • Identify and build critical networking relationships with national and international research and business entities, funding bodies, private sector, civil society, and research infrastructures that will foster future success in domestic, European, and international markets;
  • Identify key European and international market opportunities (contract research, research collaboration, licensing, IP protection, knowledge transfer, commercialization, etc.);
  • Gain access to sources of R&D grants, joint projects, etc.;
  • Identify and develop recommendations addressing key Serbian R&D-related policy issues;
  • Identify key new hires to enhance IES capabilities in strategic areas;
  • Setting of research agenda and priorities of the RDI;
  • Gain access to key members of the Serbian diaspora
  • Other topics that may be identified based on the strengths and interests of the Advisory Board members and the interests of the IES.
