BUONA Project Managing Board Meeting

In the framework of the Tempus project realization named "Business University of the New Age in Serbia", shortly BUONA – Dean of the BBA, Professor Hasan Hanić and Vice-Deans, Predrag Dedeić, PhD and Zvonko Brnjas, PhD on 21 May, 2008 participated on the Project Managing Board meeting, held at the School of Management of the University of Turin (SAA) (Italy). The SAA partner was presented by the Dean, Mr. Valter Cantino, PhD and the Head of the BUONA project Mr. Giuseppe Dutto, PhD. The third partner, The University of Seville Law School was presented by Professor Miguel Angel Adame.

The Managing Board discussed the current activities on project realization and unanimously concluded that the BUONA project realization is performing successfully and in accordance with the adopted schedule:

• Professor Adame from the University of Seville Law School, (Spain), by the end of past November held at the BBA the intensive workshop on Bologna Declaration on higher education for teaching and administrative BBA staff.
• It is defined the study curriculum for the international MBA program starting from next September at BBA
• Single teaching subject program development scheduled by this project started by the visits of several BBA professors at SAA.
• The cooperation with the University of Seville Law School was set up in the field of work quality improvement on BBA, as well as the ECST system stipulated according to Bologna Declaration.
• The activities on dissemination and sustainability of BUONA results are initiated by holding the meeting with stakeholders in Serbian higher education system (representatives of a number of faculties in Serbia, business community, principally from financial sector).

During this visit the representatives of BBA took the opportunity to discuss the issue of double diploma implementation for the students of BBA. The two Deans, Mr. Hanić and Mr. Cantino analyzed the possibilities that the common developed MBA program in the frame of the BUONA project become the bases for common diploma issuing on both faculties. Realizing this idea, the students of this MBA program on BBA will be granted with the diploma issued by BBA and SAA. Such a diploma will provide all rights and opportunities to its holder both in Serbia and Italy, and furthermore, in whole Europe.

The diploma topic conversation has a mutually beneficial exit and both parties expressed the high level of compliance. In future period the formulation and the signing of an agreement on international MBA program cooperation is expected.
