The Meeting of Directors of Scientific Institutes - EADI Members Held

The annual meeting of the directors of scientific institutes - EADI (European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes) members for 2009. was held on 29 and 30 October in Copenhagen - Denmark. After  a few year’s break, Institute of Economic Sciences, (a  member of EADI for many years), was presented by Director of IES, Prof. Dejan Erić, PhD.

After a welcome of   the host representative - Nanni Hvidt, the Director of the Danish Institute for International Studies, Mrs Jean-Luc Maurer, EADI President  and Thomas Lawo, Executive Secretary spoke on the activities of EADI. They emphasized the importance of the organization, previous results and plans for the next period.

The lecture on "Normative Power of the European Union" was  held by Prof. Dr Ian Manners,  Roskilde - Professor of University and a longtime associate of the European Commission. The first day of the gathering ended by giving EADI awards and introduction of participants.
