IX ANNUALSCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
On 26th October 2017, in the organization of Institute of Economic Sciences and Faculty of Economics, Niš, the IX Annual international scientific conference Sustainable Growth in Small Open Economies was held in Institute of Economic Sciences. The Confernce consister of three parallel sessions and 39 papers were presented. Papers by Viola Lorinova, PhD Dubravka Jurlina Alibegović, PhD and Igor Mladenović, PhD were presented within plenary session.
VIII ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
Annual international scientific conference Impact of Economic Policies on Attaining Resilient Growth was held on October 27th 2016, in the Institute of Economic Sciences.
From 27-29 October 2016, an international scientific conference EEE2016 was held in Belgrade Together with the Belgrade Banking Academy and Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship the Institute of Economic Sciences was one of the coorganizers on which the Institute’s reserchers Prof. Mirjana Radović-Marković, Sonja Đurić, PhD, Prof. Zvonko Brnjas, Isidora Beraha. PhD and Jelena Minovi, PhD, were presented their papers.
LЕАDERSHIP AND ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT
From June 16 to 19 2016, the international conference "Leadership and Organization Development“ was held in Kiten, Bulgaria. Besides 150 participants, the Institute as one of coorganizers had privilege to present two papers at the plenary session.
II REGIONAL CONFERENCE "WAGES AND REMUNERATION MODELS IN THE COUNTRIES OF SOUTHEAST EUROPE"
On 26th and 27th May Belgrade Banking Academy, the International Labour Organization, the Institute of Economic Sciences and Business Support Network organized second regional conference dedicated to the issue of wages, their binding to the performance and remuneration models.
EUROPE AND ASIA: ECONOMIC INTEGRATION PROSPECTS
The international scientific conference Europe and Asia: Economic integration prospects was held at the Belgrade Banking Academy on January 25 and 26 2016, and the IES was coorganizer.
Scientist, researchers and proffesors from the France, Germany, Portugal, Russia, Bulgaria, China, Turkey, Italy, Great Britain. United Arab Emirates, Serbia and regional countries were attended the conference. The opening remerks were given by Professor Hasan Hanić, Dean of the BBA, Professor Mirjana Radović-Marković, Institute of Economic Sciences and Mr. Stevan Nikčević, Secretary of State.
RRPP TRAINING SEMINAR - QUALITATIVE DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYSIS
On 5 and 6 February 2016, seminar on management and analysis of the qualitative data was organised at the Institute of Economic Sciences. It was a part of the Capacity Building component of the Regional Research Promotion Programme (RRPP) in social sciences.
SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT IN TERMS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA STRATEGIC GOALS REALIZATION WITHIN THE DANUBE REGION
On 10 and 11 December 2015, the Institute of Agricultural Economics Belgrade has organized the annual scientific conference Sustainable agriculture and rural development with the aim of realizing the strategic goals of the Republic of Serbia within the Danube region on which the IES was one of the organizers.
DEVELOPMENT, COMPETITIVENESS AND INEQUALITY IN EU AND WESTERN BALKANS
Institute of Economic Sciences, Belgrade, Faculty of Economics Subotica and Univwersity St. Kkiment Ohridski, Sofia organized international scientific conference on Development, Competitiveness and Ineqiality in EU and Western Balkan which was held on 26 November, 2015.
At the begging of the conference two awards were given. Award "Ana Jaško" for the best research paper work went to the Olivera Jovanović, MA, and the award "Tomislav Popović" for the best scientific paper went to Sanja Filipović, PhD.
The conference was opened by a plenary session with key note speakers being Edvard Jakopin, Nermin Oruc, and Mirjana Radović-Marković. The other three sessions included 25 presentations, as follows >>>
NEW ECONOMIC POLICY REFORMS
IES and BBA organized a two-day international scientific conference: New Economic Policy Reforms on the occasion of the 10th jubilee of the Belgrade Banking Academy. Representatives from a number of different countries, faculties, institutes and state institutions participated in the conference.
From 10-11 October 2014, an international scientific conference "Comtemporary Trends and Prospects of Economic Recovery" was held at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. Together with the Association of South East Europe Economic Institutes (SEEA) the IES was one of the coorganizers of this significant scientific gathering.
International scientific conference on the occassion of the 55th Anniversary of the IES
On Wednesday 4th December The Insitute of Economic Sciences in Belgrade held the international scientific conference “Economic Sciences on the Crossroad” on the occassion of 55th anniversary of the Institute. Conference is attended by more than 100 researchers from the WB region, across the Europe and also from Tunisia, Algeria and Russia.

Three days international scientific conference: "Social, Political and Economic Change in the Western Balkans" organized within the Regional Research Promotion Programme (RRPP) which was attended by more than 100 researchers from the WB region and across the Europe.
OPENING DATA SERVICES IN SOCIAL SCIENCES
From 21 to 22 March 2013 the international conference "Opening Data Services in Social Sciences" was held at hotel Moskva, within the realization of FP7 project SERCIDA. The Institute of Economic Sciences is hosting the conference that gathers other partners of SERSCIDA Project: Human Rights Centre, University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Swiss Foundation for Research in Social Sciences, The UK Data Archives of the University of Essex, Swedish National Data Service of the University of Gothenburg, Social Science Data Archives, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, Croatia.
POST CRISIS RECOVERY
IES and BBA held the itwo-day international scientific conference entitled "Post Crisis Recovery" which was attended by eminent scientists from France, Portugal, Turkey, Romania, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia, as well as representatives of banks, insurance companies, the National Bank of Serbia and the Securities Exchange Commision of Republic of Serbia.
ECONOMIC CHANGES IN A TIME OF CRISIS: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
From 6th to 7th September, 2012 the international scientific conference titled Economic Changes in a Time of Crisis: Challenges and Opportunities was held at the Faculty of Economics in Coimbra. The Conference was organized by Faculty of Economics in cooperation with the Institute of Economic Sciences, Grupe de Estudos Monetarios e Financeiros (GEMF), CEMAFI International, Belgrade Banking Academy and University of Nice – Sofia Antipolis.
The professional conference Free Market Road Show 2012, organized by Hayek Institut, Austrian Economics Center, Liberty Fund, European Students for Liberty, European Coalition for Economic Growth and IES, was held on 23 May 2012 in IES. This year's topic of the conference will be: "Europe at a Turning Point: Europe on the Road to Serfdom?".
THE ROLE OF THE PARLIAMENT IN DECISION MAKING PROCESS CONCERNING PRIORITIES: PUBLIC SPENDING DECREASE OR STIMULATING THE ECONOMY
IES researchers attended the international conference entitled "The role of the Parliament in decision making process concerning priorities: Public spending decrease or stimulating the economy", held on 3 March 2012 in the Serbian National Assembly in Belgrade. Conference is organized by the Republic of Serbia National Assembly in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the IES.
The international scientific conference "Regional Cooperation and European Integration", organized by International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), was held on Monday 7 November 2011 in Ljubljana.
The seminar on Conducting and Analysing Focus Groups was held at the Institute of Economic Sciences from 7th to 9th June 2011. The Seminar is being realized within the framework of the Regional Research Promotion Programme in the Western Balkans (RRPP).
On April 14, 2011 the Institute of Economic Sciences as a local coordination unit of the Regional Research Promotion Programme in the Western Balkans (RRPP) organized a conference entitled:
From 5 to 6 November 2010, the seminar "Bank Insurance - New Opportunities for Financial Sector Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska" was held in Spa Vrućica near Teslić. The seminar was organized by the Association of Serbian Economists - SWOT and the Institute of Economic Sciences.

On 4 December on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of IES, the scientific conference was opened by Professor Dejan Erić, PhD, IES Director, Professor Valter Cantino, PhD, Dean of School of Management of the University of Turin (SAA), Professor Stephane Ngomai, PhD, Dean of the Faculty for Law, Political Sciences, Economy and Management, University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis and Professor Hasan Hanić, PhD, Dean of BBA.
On the second day, the conference proceeded with presentations by schedule. At the end, the final plenary meeting was held( Professor Jean-Paul Guichard, PhD, Professor Saša Popović, PhD, Professor Antal Szabo, PhD, and Professor Dragan Milinković, PhD, and Jovan Zubović, Msc) gave short reviews of papers and conclusions.

The objective of this conference is to provide a forum for scholars to present, examine, and exchange ideas/research relevant for development in the time to come. Aim of this event is - beside the Institute of Economic Sciences (IEN) celebration of 45th birthday - to promote the conference as an activity of EADI and IEN within the EADI EDC 2010 project initiative. This project is intended to provide a vehicle for research, dissemination and debate, a forum in which the perspectives of different actors can be shared and developed.
The conference is organized as a traditional one day conference fostering-floor discussion. The conference will start in morning but end at late afternoon..
